VMIVME-7452 | Reflective Memory Node Card
GE VMIVME-7452 This section describes the VMEbus floppy disk/hard disk module with one slot. The module is a passive board containing a floppy disk and a hard drive, optional flash drive, connected only to P2 user defined pins, power and ground. The board is a 6U VMEbus shape factor that gets power from the standard VMEbus P1. The board is designed to be compatible with VMIC's VMEbus family of PC/AT SBC boards that contain floppy disks and IDE controllers onboard. The physical size of the board is standard VME double height.
The VMIVME-7452 offers hard disk and floppy disk storage options, with the floppy disk drive being 3.5 "1.44Mbyte and the hard disk drive having an optional flash drive.
VMIVME-7452's flash drive system performance is: data transfer rate of 4.0Mbyte /s burst. The Flash data transmission rate is 6.0 Mbyte/s burst. The sleep write and read times of flash drives are up to 2.5 milliseconds and 2.0 milliseconds, respectively. The board reset to ready time of 50 ms, typical value of 400 ms, maximum.

The user connector of the VMIVME-7452 is a 34-pin floppy disk drive, and all disks operate at 5 to 50˚C, store at -25 to 60˚C, at a rate of up to 20˚C per hour, with humidity of 20 to 80%, non-condense, maximum. The average disk access time is 14 milliseconds, and the average latency is 6.67 milliseconds. +5 V, Max 2.5 A (rotation), typical values less than 1.0 A.
