Removing the defective board requires a few necessary steps to in order to prevent electric shock, electric burn, or a safety hazard. Make sure that all current is removed from the drive before you touch any components inside the drive. Follow the shutdown procedure as established for your site and to verify that all current is removed, use a current tester. Open the door on the drive to access the printed circuit boards, including the DS200SDCIG2AHB. You will notice that one board is blocking access to the DS200SDCIG2AHB. You can pull down two locking mechanisms to tilt forward the blocking board and gain access to the DS200SDCIG2AHB. Before you remove the board disconnect all cables.
