Schneider Electric 140CPU53414A Overview The Modicon 140CPU53414A is a Schneider Electric manufactured module that is a part of the Quantum Automation System. It does this within a modular architecture that is expandable and uses several modules including CPUs like the 140CPU53414A, CPS’s, I/O modules, Network interface modules, and several others. There are several components for ease of use on this module.  It has an LED display at the top front of the module. Directly above the LED display, you will find the module number and the module description. Below the LED display is where you will find the battery component. Beneath the battery component is the key switch. There is a small slot for the memory port and comm parameter slide switches. The slide switches are used for memory protection when it is in the top position. There are two three-position slide switches on this module. There is no memory protection when it is in the middle and bottom positions. The right switch is used for Comm parameter settings for the Modbus ports (RS-232). The final two things on the front of the 140CPU53414A are the Modbus connector and the Modbus Plus connector.  There is a removable door that covers the battery, key switch, memory port, Modbus connector, and Modbus Plus connector. You can also add a customer identification label to the attachable door on the front of the module.
