Emerson / Motorola MVME2434 VME Processor Module

MVME162 is a Motorola VMEbus single-board computer based on the MC68040 microprocessor. It is used for embedded applications and provides OEMs and solutions developers with an ideal platform for embedded control applications. The MVME162 comes in several variants based on clock speed, memory size, and presence of SCSI and Ethernet interfaces. The MVME162 has a VMEbus interface for communication with other VMEbus devices. The MVME162 has an IndustryPack logic interface that provides a 32-bit parallel interface for IndustryPack mezzanine modules. The MVME162 has a factory-installed Debug Monitor called MVME162Bug that allows developers to debug their applications. The MVME162 has several safety features, such as watchdog timer, thermal shutdown, and overvoltage protection.

The flexibility of the MVME2400 provides an excellent base platform that can be quickly and easily customized for a variety of industry-specific applications.

Utilizing Motorola's low-power, high-performance PowerPC 750 microprocessors, the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) bus for the on-board peripherals, processor/memory bus to PCI bus bridge, and a VME interface, the MVME2400 processor modules pack optimum levels of flexibility and performance into a single VME slot.
