Functional Features:
Comprehensive Control and Protection: It integrates complete engine-generator control and protection functions, with features such as automatic start/stop and load sharing, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the generator set.
High Measurement Accuracy: By adopting true root mean square (RMS) voltage and current sensing technology, it can accurately measure the voltage and current of the generator, busbar, and mains supply. With low sensitivity to harmonics, it can provide accurate data support for control and protection functions.
Strong Communication Capability: It supports CAN network communication and can communicate with the engine electronic control unit (ECU). It supports the standard SAE-J1939 protocol and various proprietary protocols of engine original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). At the same time, it is equipped with a serial Modbus RTU (slave station) communication interface, which can be used for signal transmission and external control of the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. It can also be configured via a PC or laptop using the Woodward Toolkit service tool, and can be connected to the RP-3500 remote panel to achieve remote control and configuration through the CANopen protocol, with a distance of up to 250m.
Flexible Programming: Its integrated Logics Manager™ programmable logic function provides excellent application flexibility. Usually, it can eliminate the need for additional PLC control, but it can also be easily integrated with SCADA or PLC-based control systems.
Application Scenarios: It is suitable for a variety of distributed generation application scenarios, including emergency backup power supplies for data centers, hospitals, commercial and industrial facilities; distributed generation for grid peak regulation; isolated main power supplies for oil and gas exploration, ships, remote villages, rental/mobile equipment, etc.; microgrids for military, government, zero-carbon communities, universities, etc.; peak regulation and demand reduction for grid paralleling; combined heat and power generation for wastewater treatment, biogas production, etc.; and generator control retrofits to add load sharing/paralleling functions to switchgear, etc.
