Its working principle is as follows:
- Input Voltage Conversion: The input voltage range of the PW301 module is usually 100 - 240V AC. It first converts the input alternating current into direct current through a rectifier circuit. In this process, the alternating currents with different amplitudes and phases are uniformly converted into a stable direct current voltage, providing a basic power supply for the subsequent circuits.
- Voltage Regulation and Transformation: The converted direct current voltage will pass through a voltage regulator circuit to ensure the stability of the output voltage, so as to adapt to different load changes and input voltage fluctuations. Then, according to the design of the module, the direct current voltage is converted into various output voltages required by the module, such as 5V DC, 12V DC, 24V DC, etc. through a DC-DC conversion circuit. These different output voltages are used to supply power to various devices and modules of Yokogawa Electric, meeting their different working voltage requirements.
- Protection Mechanisms: In order to ensure the safety of the module and the connected devices, the PW301 module also has a variety of protection mechanisms. Overcurrent protection can prevent the output current from exceeding the rated current of the module, avoiding damage to the module and other devices due to overload; overvoltage protection can cut off the power supply in a timely manner when the output voltage rises abnormally, protecting the devices from the impact of overvoltage; overtemperature protection is activated when the internal temperature of the module is too high, preventing the module from being damaged due to overheating by reducing the output power or stopping working, thus extending the service life of the module.
