The Y-3023-2-H00AA is a brushless servo motor from Allen-Bradley’s Y series. Generally, its purpose is to perform sophisticated positioning and perfect speed applications, and acceleration control on industrial machines. It is a servo motor with largest frame size in the light industrial Y series. Its windings work with a 230 Volt AC voltage. Optical encoder line count is available and break option is not included. The Y-3023-2-H00AA servo motor high energy magnets (neodymium) provide low inertias for fast speeding up. Its speed rating is 4500 RPM. IP43 rated enclosure protection is obtained. The Y-3023-2-H00AA has 8 poles.
One of the features of the Y-3023-2-H00AA is a motor-mounted optical encoder line count with a 2000 P/R resolution and commutation signal. 5 Volt DC voltage is used for an encoder supply. A servo drive will be required to complete the servo drive positioning system. Allen-Bradley recommends the following servo drives to be used with any of the following servo motors: 1398-DDM-019, 1398-DDM-020, 2093-AM02, 2094-AM02, or 2098-DSD-020. The system connection with the servo motor shaft should be rigid in order to prevent couplings, pulleys, or belts from slipping over time and causing shaft deterioration.
