Description

The National Instruments PCI-4065 (Part numbers: 779770-01, 190310C-01) is a Digital Multimeter Device with 6.5 Digits of Resolution. This device is used for the measurements of analog to digital and digital to analog voltage. This device can also measure analog to digital and digital to analog current, as well as perform diode tests. The NI PCI-4065 is preferable for educational laboratories and OEMs and can also be used for cost-conscious test and measurement applications. The NI PCI-4065 can measure 2 or 4-wire resistance. This DMM is structured with the voltage value of ±300. These values of voltage are measured in either DC or RMS. This DMM offers a comprehensive multimeter solution for basic 6.5 digit measurement requirements. The device has a maximum sample rate of 3 kS/s. It has a basic DC voltage accuracy of 90 ppm. The PCI-4065 should be calibrated a minimum of one time per year. However, the requirements for each user’s measurement application control how frequently the device should be calibrated. To calibrate the PCI-4065, the user needs a chassis, a multifunction calibrator, two insulated low thermal electromotive force spade lugs, two sets of low thermal electromotive force copper cables, a double banana plug with binding posts, and a way to create a short with low thermal EMF across the HI and LO input banana plug connectors on the PCI-4065. The NI PCI-4065 driver is NI-DMM. National Instruments maintains the upgradation of the NI PCI-4065 DMM software, which helps prevent crashes and increases system and hardware performance. The user can obtain information with the Multimeter by using the NI-DMM instrument driver, DMM SFP, NI LabVIEW SignalExpress, or NI-DMM/Switch Express VI. The user can also run the NI-DMM examples to show the functionality of the PCI-4065. The PCI-4065 weighs 11.5 oz, and measures 7.2 x 0.8 x 4.7 in. in physical dimensions. It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 to 40 °C and -40 °C to 70 °C respectively.
