The Trusted® T8442 TMR Speed Monitor monitors the shaft speed and acceleration of rotatingmachinery. It provides machine protection for over-speed and over-acceleration shutdownfunctions. Typical machinery applications include steam and gas turbines driving pumps,compressors and generators. A T8442 Speed Monitor Module within a Trusted System provides thecapability to perform turbine speed control independent of the machinery protection functions.System response times are often critical for these types of application. To minimize processingdelays the T8442 operates as a self-contained fault tolerant control sub-system within the TrustedSystem environment.Each T8442 has three monitoring and control groups. Each group provides the Speed Monitoringand shutdown control facilities required for one rotating machine. Up to three turbine trains can behandled by a single T8442. A single rotating machine group comprises of three separate TripleModular Redundant (TMR) speed input channels and two separate quad redundant, fault tolerantoutput drive structures. Turbines having more than three speed pickups can be accommodated bycombining monitoring and control groups.The speed input channels are designed to interface directly with a Trusted T8846 Speed Input FieldTermination Assembly (SIFTA). A single T8846 provides signal conditioning and field cabletermination facilities for the nine TMR speed input channels required for three rotating machinegroups. Both active and passive speed probes can be accommodated by the T8846. Active probescan be powered from the field cable termination.The shutdown control outputs are designed to interface directly with three Trusted T8891 SpeedOutput Field Termination Assemblies (SOFTA). A single T8891 contains the two quad redundant,fault tolerant, volt-free contact structures required for a single rotating machine group.The inter-connections between the Module and the Field Termination Assemblies (FTAs) areprovided by a Trusted TC-801 Cable Assembly.

Data acquisition and monitoring control system 1. SCADA system includes real-time data acquisition, data communication, SCADA system support platform, front subsystem, background subsystem and so on. 4, a SCADA system is usually composed of a master station and several sub-stations (remote terminal unit RTU or other automation system). The master station is usually in the dispatch control center (master station end), and the sub-station is installed in the factory station end. The master station communicates with the sub-station through the WAN to complete data acquisition and monitoring control. In addition to receiving the information of the sub-stations, the master station also receives the information forwarded from the subordinate dispatching control center master station by means of data communication, and forwards the information of the master station to the superior dispatching control center master station. The plant terminal is the real-time data source of SCADA system and the control destination. The data collected by SCADA includes analog measurement, state measurement point and pulse accumulation. The main station of SCADA system is divided into front subsystem and background subsystem, which are connected through LAN and communicate with each other. The front subsystem mainly completes the communication with the plant terminal and other dispatching control center, and sends the obtained data to the background subsystem, which carries out data processing.
