Description

The Relcom Carrier-band Repeaters are used to extend the Carrier-band network up to 50km.   Repeaters extend the Carrier-band network with fiber optic cable which also has the advantage of less susceptibility to noise and near-lightning strikes. Three models of Relcom Fiber Optic Repeaters are available: 1.  The CBR-2 is intended for multi-mode applications where the fiber optic segment is less than 2 km in length or a passive star coupler is used with few ports and with short spurs. 2.  The CBR-3 is intended for multi-mode applications where the fiber optic segment is up to 8 km in length. 3. The CBR-7 is a single mode fiber optic repeater intended for applications where the fiber optic segment is up to 50km in length. The repeaters are available with either AC or DC power. Relcom Fiber Optic Repeaters (Fiber Optic Extenders) are for industrial networks used by the Honeywell Data Highway, Fisher / Emerson Provox system, and the Siemens - Moore Products systems. Fisher / Emerson systems used a similar product made by Optelecom.   Customers who cannot get the Optelecom product have successfully used the Relcom Fiber Optic Repeater to continue to support or expand their systems.   The Relcom Fiber Optic Repeater can be a replacement for the Optelecom 802.4a Fiber optic extender - also labeled by Fisher-Rosemount Systems with PN: 12P0569X03R.   It is also known as model DH7751 Highway II Fiber-Optic Extender. Honeywell calls them a UCN Extender or UCNE.   They are are specified for 18-36VDC or 85-236VAC (DC or AC models respectively).   They are also associated with part numbers MU-FOEA02 (AC version), MU-FOED02 (DC version), or 51197564 (with various suffixes).   A long distance version of the repeater is also made for Honeywell under their part number 38003026 (with various suffixes).

The function of the switching input module is to convert various switching signals into TTL standard signals required by the CPU. According to the input power supply type, it can be divided into DC input module and AC input module. The input signal is converted into TTL (5V) standard signal by photoelectric coupling after voltage division, current limiting and filtering. The function of the analog input module is to convert the continuously changing analog signals such as temperature, flow, current, voltage, etc. into several digital signals that the CPU can process. The analog input circuit is generally composed of op amp conversion, mode conversion (A/D), photoelectric isolation, etc. Types of PLC input and output modules: digital input DI, digital output DO, analog input AI, analog output AO. Digital input and output are generally 24V. There are 4 kinds of analog quantities in 2 categories, and the 2 categories are voltage type and current type respectively. Voltage type has 0-10V and -10 to 10V. Current type mainly has 4-20MA,0-20MA. Then the module converts the analog quantity into A number between +32767 and -32768 through A/D conversion, and then implements the control. The function of the signal template is to convert various process i/o signals. The input signals are converted into digital quantities, which are easy for plc to identify, process and analyze. The output is converted into analog to various regulating mechanisms for execution, or the output is converted into a 2-bit do quantity to control some devices such as start, stop, on and off

I/O Module Functions • High Level Analog Input /HART Input Module (16pt) – The High Level Analog Input Module supports both highlevel analog and HART inputs. Analog inputs are typically 4-20mA DC for both traditional and HART devices. HARTdata can be used for status and configuration. HART data, such as the secondary and tertiary variables, can also beused as process control variables. Two versions are available. • High Level Analog Input w/o HART (16pt) - The High Level Analog Input Module supports high level analog inputsAnalog inputs are typically 4-20mA DC for traditional devices. • Analog Output/HART Output Module (16pt) – The Analog Output Module supports both standard 4-20mA DCoutputs and HART transmitter outputs. Two versions are available. • Analog Output w/o HART (16pt) – The Analog Output Module supports standard 4-20mA DC outputs. • Digital Input 24 VDC (32pt) – Digital input sensing for 24V signals. Two versions are available. • Digital Input High Voltage (32pt) – Digital input sensing for 110 VAC, 220 VAC, 125VDC. • Digital Output 24 VDC (32 pt) – Current sourcing digital outputs. Outputs are electronically short-circuit protected.Two versions are available. • Relay Digital Output (32 pt) – Digital output with NO or NC dry contacts. Can be used for low power or high powerapplications. • Temperature Multiplexer (64 pt) – Provides thermocouple (TC) and resistance temperature device (RTD) inputs.The Multiplexer supports up to four, field proven PMIO FTAs. • Temperature Multiplexer (64 pt) – Provides thermocouple (TC) and resistance temperature device (RTD) inputs.The Multiplexer supports up to four, field proven PMIO FTAs • Pulse Input (8pt) – Provide linear counting, PV generation, and Quaduature Input for Custody Transfer • Universal Input Output (32 pt) - Supports 32 channels of user configurable IO.
