The NI cFP-TC-125 (Part Number: 777318-125) can be mounted on a cFP-BP-x or cFP-180x Compact FieldPoint backplane. This results in delivering functioning power to the module. This module has built-in linearization and cold-junction compensation for eight types of thermocouples: B, J, E, R, K, S, N, and T. In addition, the cFP-CB-x Connector Block has connections for the eight differential input channels on the NI cFP-TC-125 module. The user should keep in mind that they should not link anything to the V and C terminals on the connector block. Each of the eight channels on the cFP-TC-125 Temperature Input Module rejects as much as ±250 V common-mode voltage as referenced to earth ground. However, the user must ensure the difference in common-mode voltage between any two channels does not go over 250 V. To link voltage input signals, the user should link the positive lead of a millivolt signal to the IN(+) terminal and the negative lead to the IN(-) terminal. The voltage input range is from -20 to 80 mV. An input signal not falling within this range will result in the NI cFP-TC-125 module reporting an Out of range error for the affected channel. Additionally, if the user chooses the -20 to 80 mV range for an input channel in software, then choosing a thermocouple type for that channel will not change anything.

Through the analog module, A/D (analog/digital) module, the external weight signal, temperature signal, pressure signal can be introduced, A/D module can accept the signal is 0-10V, 0-5V, -5-5V voltage signal and 0-20MA, 4-20MA current signal. If the signal obtained by the terminal acquisition module is not these standard signals, but also through the transmitter conversion, after the standard signal enters the A/D module, it will be converted by A/D into a number, the specific range is different PLC is not the same, these converted digital quantities, can be used by the program, conversion, processing, and finally get the required data displayed.
