The NI PXI-6528 (Part number: 778543-01) is a PXI Digital I/O Module featured with 48 channels in all: 24 optically isolated digital Inputs, and 24 solid-state relay outputs, with Channel-Channel Isolation. This model is a cost-efficient, industrial, parallel digital I/O module with included programmable power-up states. This module comes with a sturdy configuration and can provide as many as 24 isolated input and output channels. It also features change detection, real-time system integration (RTSI), and digital filtering. This model is ideal for high voltage switching and isolation in both laboratory and industrial environments. This PXI Digital I/O Module requires no jumper setting for I/O configuration, since it is entirely software configurable. The NI PXI-6528 is completely compliant with the PCI Local Bus and the PXI hardware standards and specifications. It is a smart system capable of automatically allocating all device resources, including the input level and base address. Like other measurement devices from National Instruments, the PXI-6528 comes with NI-DAQ driver software. This software has a wide-ranging collection of VIs and functions, which the user can initiate from their software such as LabWindows™ or LabVIEW to program all the programmable features of the PXI-6528. The device is equipped with a 100-pin keyed female SCSI connector. It has an input voltage range of -60 VDC to 60 VDC, and a maximum input current of 3.0 mA. The NI PXI-6528 employs the RTSI bus interface to trigger signals between the NI PXI-6528 and other RTSI-compatible instruments or devices. The change detection feature of the NI PXI-6528 can easily be programmed to initiate an interruption in case a change occurs on any input line. This Digital I/O Module can also monitor changes on either user-defined or all input lines. It generates an interruption whenever an input deviation occurs. The NI device weighs 4.6 oz, and measures 6.3 x 3.9 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 55 °C, and a storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C. The module has a typical power requirement of 400 mA at +3.3 VDC, and 250 mA at +5 VDC.

If the signal obtained by the terminal acquisition module is not these standard signals, but also through the transmitter conversion, after the standard signal enters the A/D module, it will be converted by A/D into a number, the specific range is different PLC is not the same, these converted digital quantities, can be used by the program, conversion, processing, and finally get the required data displayed.
