The Allen-Bradley 1440-DYN02-01RJ module is a dynamic measurement module. It is an electronic machine condition monitoring and protection device that is specifically designed and manufactured for measuring the vibration, pressure, and strain on dynamic inputs. Some of the inputs that can be connected to the 1440-DYN02-01RJ dynamic measurement module include any Allen-Bradley non-contact eddy current probe input, standard integrated electronics piezoelectric (IEPE) accelerometer inputs, velocity transducer inputs, and DC voltage measurement inputs. Tachometer input is used to provide speed measurement and order analysis functions. Eddy current probes, unpowered magnetic probes, and other powered and unpowered tachometer sensors are suitable for use with the module as well. Primarily used a machine safety condition-monitoring element, the Allen-Bradley 1440-DYN02-01RJ dynamic measurement module enables the processing of critical vibration parameters with existing automation and control systems such as PLCs and displays by providing the information that is needed for protecting machinery from catastrophic failures. An important thing to note about the Allen-Bradley 1440-DYN02-01RJ dynamic measurement module is that it must be installed on its network with one dedicated 1440-ACNR ControlNet adapter module and as many as ten 1440-DYN02-01RJ modules. No other XM family modules can be connected with the dynamic measurement module on the same network. The dynamic measurement modules should always be installed in a protected enclosure to keep them away from high temperatures, high humidity, and dusty environments. The wiring to and from the modules should be 12…28 or 14…22 AWG copper conductor wires without pretreatment, and 8 AWG rated wire is required for grounding the DIN rail for electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection purposes.
