The IC200ALG230 is an analog input module from the Versamax modular I/O and control platform. This module is a compact analog input module featuring Four (4) individually configurable voltage or current analog input channels. This module supports interfacing of analog signals, particularly unipolar 0 to 10VDCand bipolar +/-10 VDC voltage signals, and 4-20 mA current signal. The IC200ALG230 is provided with Two (2) status LED indicators for locally reporting the operational state of the module, Specifically, INT POWER LED indicating supply of internally generated field power and OK LED indicating backplane power being actively supplied to the module. Two (2) jumpers are present to this analog input module for setting the mode of operation of the module whether voltage or current and unipolar of bipolar data. The IC200ALG230 has a built-in Analog to Digital converter with a resolution of 4?A = 8 counts when configured for Current operation and 2.5 mV = 8 counts for voltage configuration. This module has a typical response time of 0.4 ms and a filter response of 5.0 ms. The input data of this module is configurable to be held to the last state or go to a defined value when module error is detected. The IC200ALG230 can be installed with an auxiliary I/O terminal for wiring of signals. Terminal part numbers are IC200TBM001, 002, or 005. Additionally, terminal style I/O carrier may also be used with catalog number IC200CHS001, 002, or 005, Compact Terminal-style I/O Carrier with catalog number IC200CHS022, 025 and connector style I/O carrier with part number IC200CHS003.

The GE Fanuc IC200ALG230 module is part of the Versamax product line. It is an analog input module that is compatible with either 4 current inputs or to 4 voltage inputs. The IC200ALG230 analog input module does not need an external power supply because it draws its power from the power supply in the Versamax PLC backplane. It is designed to provide an interface in a Versamax PLC or programmable Logic Controller system in a commercial or industrial setting. All 4 of its inputs are single-ended and they are arranged in 1 group. The IC200ALG230 analog input module consumes 125 milliamps of backplane current at 5 Volts of output voltage. Its input voltage is +/- 10 Volts DC bipolar voltage by default but it can also be configured to have a unipolar voltage of 0 to 10 Volts. The configuration of the GE Fanuc Versamax IC200ALG230 analog input module can be done with the 2 jumpers found on the carrier terminals. These jumpers can be used to configure the module to operate in either the current or the voltage mode and to configure the module to operate in the unipolar or bipolar mode within the voltage mode if the voltage mode is selected. The jumper that is used to select the current or voltage mode on the IC200ALG230 analog input module allows the module to accept 4 to 20 milliamps of input current. For safety, the cables for the IC200ALG230 analog input module should be grounded at the source device when possible, and at least the cable shield should be grounded at the source device or even at the I/O module when grounding the cable is not possible.
