Features: • Six Independent Channels • On-Line Temperature Monitoring • Suitable for all Types of Temperature Measurements The GE / Bently Nevada 3300/30 and 3300/35 Six-Channel Temperature Monitors provide six independent channels of on-line temperature monitoring. Each monitor is suitable for virtually all types of temperature measurements. The monitors accept inputs from up to six thermocouples (3300/30 TC Monitor) or resistance temperature detectors (3300/35 RTD Monitor), which are supplied separately.
3500 Internal Barriers are intrinsically safe interfaces thatprovide explosion protection fortransducer systems connecteddirectly to the 3500 Machinery Protection System. The internal barriers are fully compatible with the 3500 Systemand provide a convenient and cost-effective solution forinstalling all types of transducer systems within a hazardousarea. Each component complies both individually and as part of asystem with the safety requirements of North American andinternational standards. Hence, you don't have to referenceindividual certificates to verify the compatibility betweencomponents. Standard and internal barrier monitors can reside within thesame 3500 rack. You can upgrade standard monitors byreplacing existing I/O modules with those that contain internalbarriers.
Installation Guidelines A 3500 rack containing internal barriers uses MonitorI/OModules that incorporate barriers. These barriers provideexplosion protection fortransducer systems that are connectedto the 3500 system. An intrinsically safe (IS) earthing module provides the IS earth connection through the 3500system backplane The IS Earth Module requires a dedicated I/Omodule position and precludes the use of thismonitor position for other 3500 System modules.This limits a standard 19-inch rack to 13 monitorpositions. Furthermore, a number of installationoptions are not available when internal barriersare installed in a 3500 rack. New Rack Installations The same rack can contain both internal barrierand standard I/O module types withoutcompromising the separation between hazardousand safe area field wiring. The External Termination option is not availableforI/O modules with internal barriers becausehazardous area approvals do not allow the use ofintrinsically safe wiring within a multi-cored cableassembly. Monitors that contain TMR rack options cannotuse internal barrierI/O modules since connectinga transducerto multiple I/O module inputs willcompromise the integrity of the IS system. A rack that contains any internal barrier modulemust have a 3500/04-01 IS Earthing Module toprovide the Barrier Module IS earth connection.
