Tricon Onsite cable connection The optional external terminal board is used to connect to the equipment in the field. Alternatively, you can connect your cable directly to the 56-pin connector on the top of the Tricon backplane. For more information about terminal boards, see the Terminal Board User's Manual. Programming workstation The Tricon system is programmed through an engineering and maintenance workstation called Tristation. Tristation1131's development platform runs on the WINDOWS operating system. Tristation 1131 supports three IEC 1131-3 compliant programming languages: Functional Block language, ladder Diagram language, and Structured Text Language. Tristation 1131 is used for the following purposes: - Develop and debug the control program that Tricon executes. - Diagnose the system status. - Mandatory point during loop detection and on-site device maintenance. Once a control program has been developed, the load operation installs the program into the controller and verifies that it performs correctly.

1.3 Working Principle
The triple module redundancy (TMR) structure ensures the device's fault tolerance and provides intact, uninterrupted control in the event of hardware failures in the component or transient failures from internal or external sources.
Each I/O module contains three independent sub-circuits. Each circuit on the input module reads process data and transmits this information to its corresponding main processor. The three main processors communicate via a dedicated high-speed bus system called TriBus.
