Description
The Tricon module consists of electronic components housed in a metal skeleton and can be replaced in situ. When the module is removed from the rack, no guaranteed parts or circuits are exposed. The connectors on the printed circuit board prevent the modules from being inserted headdown, and the "keys" on the modules prevent the modules from being inserted into the wrong slots. Tricon supports digital and analog input and output points, as well as thermocouple input and a variety of communication capabilities. Analog input module On the analog input module, each of the three subcircuits asynchronously measures each input signal and places the result in a numerical table. The three input tables are transmitted to their respective main processor modules via the corresponding I/O bus. Input tables in each main processor module are forwarded via TRIBUS to neighboring main processors with a median value selected, and input tables in each main processor are modified to the median value. In TMR mode, the median data is applied to the control program; The average value is used in the dual module. Each analog input module is automatically checked by reading multiple reference voltages through a multiplexer. The reference voltage determines the gain and deviation and is used to adjust the analog-to-digital reading. Analog input modules and terminal boards can support many different analog inputs in isolated or non-isolated forms: 0 to 5VDC, 0 to 10VDC, 4 to 20mA, thermocouples (types K, J, T, E, etc.), and thermal resistors (RTDS).
The analog output module receives three tables of output values, each obtained from the corresponding main processor. Each fraction of the circuit has its own number
- Analog Converter (DAC). One of the subcircuits is selected to drive the analog output. The output is continuously checked for correctness with input feedback loops at each point, and the input at each point is read by all three microprocessors simultaneously. If a fault is found in the working sub-circuit, the sub-circuit is declared as the fault branch, and another sub-circuit is selected to drive the field equipment. The selection of this "drive subcircuit" is rotated between subcircuits so that all three subcircuits are tested.
