Description

The USB-UART Configuration Cable is used to connect a Woodward control or protection unit with a PC or laptop for configuration and monitoring purposes.   It Interfaces with RJ45 Connector and Standard USB Port.   The PC/laptop side is separated from the Woodward unit side through galvanic isolation.   Part number 5417-1251 is dedicated for use with a wide-range of Woodward power management and protection products, including non-XT easYgen devices. WOODWARD governor product working principle Governor products are mechanical hydraulic or digital devices that have an oil supply independent of the engine lubrication system. The WOODWARD speed switch is an electronic device that senses rotational motion and speed. It receives signals in the form of frequencies from sensor devices (magnetoelectric speed sensors, Mini-Gen® signal generators, alternators, ignition coils). The frequency is then monitored by electronic components within the switch. When the speed or frequency reaches the desired setting or set point, the output relay connected to the control loop is powered on or turned on.

DSS-2 digital speed switch DSS-2 monitors engine speed through the magnetoelectric speed sensor (MPU) input and controls two independent relays.
