Emerson LCP100 - Local Control Panel

The LCP100 local control panel is used in conjunctionwith the FIELDVUE™ DVC6200 SIS digital valvecontroller to manually open, close, or test a safetyshutdown valve. The LCP100 has three protectedpushbuttons to allow the user to open, close or testthe safety valve. There are also three lights to visuallyindicate if the valve is open, closed, or locked in safetyand ready for reset. Features Reliability • Rugged Enclosure—The filled polyester enclosure,encapsulated electronics, pushbuttons, and lightsare designed to withstand harsh industrialenvironments. • Proof Testing—The open and close pushbuttonsprovide a means to manually perform an offline fullstroke test to help identify dangerous undetectedfailures. • Partial Valve Stroke Test—The test pushbuttonprovides a means to manually perform an onlinepartial stroke test to help improve the diagnosticcoverage factor.

Safety • Manual Reset—After a safety demand, the DVC6200SIS will remain locked in the safe state. The manualreset pushbutton provides user control over whenthe valve can return to the normal operating state. • Lockable Pushbutton Covers—Each pushbutton canbe locked to prevent unauthorized access to thesafety valve operation. • Safety Certification—The LCP100 contribution tofailure rates is documented in the DVC6200 SISsafety manual. Ease of Use • Loop vs. External Power—The LCP100 can bepowered by the same loop as the DVC6200 SIS orindependently powered by a 24 VDC source. • Simple Configuration—The DVC6200 SIS setupwizard automatically configures the LCP100functions. Value • Visual Indication—The LCP100 can be mountedremote from the valve in an easily accessiblelocation to view the status and perform periodictesting. • Reduce I/O Count—The LCP100 combinesopen/closed/ready­to­reset lights and open/closepushbuttons into a single field enclosure, thuseliminating 3 discrete out (DO) and 2 discrete in (DI)channels from the logic solver.
