This starts with the two I/O cards on a carrier.The carrier has redundant communication modules for primaryand secondary network connections. There are two 24 V DCinput power connections. The carrier connects to the CHARMsBaseplates and provides redundant power and communicationbuses to the CHARMs. Everything is redundant down to theindividual channel. Complete DeltaV solution: Migrate from your legacy systemwith the comfort that when complete you will have a completeDeltaV solution, not a combination of standard and customhardware/software to support. Every piece of the migrationpanel is standard DeltaV hardware and can be supported withthe same personnel and spare equipment that every otherCHARMs and DeltaV installation uses. Plug and play I/O: The DeltaV CIOC has been designed forease of use, both in physical installation and its software tools.Components snap together with secure DIN-rail latches andinterlocking carrier connectors. Insert the CHARMs and autosense the node to create the I/O definition automatically inyour DeltaV configuration database. CHARMs use a self-keyingsystem to automatically set a channel for a specific CHARMtype. Users cannot mistakenly insert a CHARM into the wrongterminal block. Assign all, one, or any number of channels to acontroller with a simple click and drag.
