Removal and Insertion This unit cannot be removed or inserted with systempower energized. Power must be de-energizedbefore disconnecting any carriers or LocalBusExtender cables. Bussed field power must not be connected to asupply that generates or contains a source ofpotential in excess of 30 VDC. Field power supplied to this device either at the fieldterminal or as bussed field power via the I/O carriermust be removed before removing or connecting thisdevice. A module cover (KJ4001X1-FA1) must be fitted toany permanently unoccupied location on an I/Omodule carrier. (Permanently unoccupied implies noI/O module and no terminal block are intended forthat location.) No combination of I/O carriers and LocalBusExtenders must exceed a length of 6.5 meters.Interconnecting cable between enclosures must bein conduit.
