Circuit board structure
The circuit board is mainly composed of welding pad, through hole, mounting hole, wire, components, connectors, filling, electrical boundary, etc. The main functions of each component are as follows:
Pad: A metal hole for welding the pin of a component.
Through holes: There are metal through holes and non-metal through holes, wherein the metal through holes are used to connect the component pins between the layers.
Mounting hole: used to secure the circuit board.
Wire: Electrical network copper film used to connect component pins.
Connector: A component used to connect circuit boards.
Filling: Copper coating for ground wire network can effectively reduce impedance.
Electrical boundary: Used to determine the size of the board, all components on the board can not exceed this boundary.
The working principle of the circuit board: the board based insulation material is used to isolate the conductive layer of copper foil on the surface, so that the current flows along the pre-designed route in various components to complete functions such as work, amplification, attenuation, modulation, demodulation, coding and so on.
On a basic PCB, the parts are concentrated on one side, and the wires are concentrated on the other side. Because the wire only appears on one side, this PCB is called a single panel. Multi-layer plates, multi-layer wires, must have the appropriate circuit connection between the two layers, the bridge between the circuits is called the pilot hole (via). The basic design process of the circuit board can be divided into the following four steps:
(1) Circuit schematic design -- circuit schematic design is mainly the use of ProtelDXP schematic editor to draw schematic diagram.
(2) Generate a network report - the network report is the report showing the link between the circuit principle and the various components, it is the bridge and link connecting the circuit schematic design and circuit board design, through the network report of the circuit schematic, you can quickly find the connection between the components, so as to provide convenience for the PCB design behind.
(3) The design of the printed circuit board -- the design of the printed circuit board is what we usually call the PCB design, which is the final form of the circuit schematic conversion, the related design of this part is more difficult than the design of the circuit schematic, we can use the powerful design function of ProtelDXP to complete this part of the design.
(4) Generate printed circuit board reports -- After the printed circuit board design is completed, it is also necessary to generate various reports, such as generating pin reports, circuit board information reports, network status reports, etc., and then print out the printed circuit diagram.
