Description
The 1734-RTB is a Removable Terminal Block (RTB), manufactured by Allen Bradley. It belongs to the 1734 series and is normally used along with a POINT Input/Output mounting base. The 1734-RTB is usually connected to the mounting base in order to form a Terminal Base Assembly; it is an open style module and it has 8 poles, along with an average field power supply voltage range of 120 to 240 Volts AC and 24 Volts DC. The 1734-RTB has a maximum field power supply current of 10 A; it also features a screw clamp for connection purposes. For this module, the terminal base screw torque is around 0.6 N-m (7 pounds on an inch) and it belongs to the wiring category 2. The 1734-RTB features a wire size in the range of 14 AWG (2.5 square millimeters) to 22 AWG (0.25 square millimeters) in either solid or stranded wire, which must be rated for at least 75 degrees Celsius, although preferably higher. The 1734-RTB has 3/64 inches (1.2 millimeters) of maximum insulation and is mounted using a DIN rail and the mounting base. When the 1734-RTB is plugged into the mounting base, it provides the terminal locations for field wiring. Proper care must be taken to ensure that the mounting base is properly keyed before installing the 1734-RTB terminal. This RTB unit is an efficient device in that it can accelerate installation as well as facilitate the startup of the module’s entire system. Without the 1734-RTB module, vertical access to terminations of wires and screws during installation would be very difficult; the 1734-RTB module provides this access to the user. It can also be installed either before or after the installation of the mounting base completed. The 1734-RTB has a number of status indicators that show the network status, the module status, and the status of each of the outputs.
Redundant system configuration (1) : Install software ◆ Install RSLogix5000/Studio5000 software, pay attention to the version, RSLinx Classic software will be automatically installed. ◆ If use ControlNet architecture, install RSNetWorx for ControlNet software. ◆ Install redundant firmware packages, ControlFlash V14 or above or ControlFlash Plus tools ◆ Install the redundant configuration tool RMCT (2) : Install hardware ◆ Install the power module, processor, communication module, and redundant module into the rack. ◆ In two racks, install the same module in the same slot. It is recommended that redundant modules be placed close to the processor. ◆ ControlNet Communication module nodes are set through DIP switches. ◆ Optical fiber connection for redundant modules, no sequence requirement for optical ports. ◆ Connect the power supply to the power module. (3) Establish a connection with the computer ◆ Power on two racks. ◆ Connect the processor to the computer using a USB cable, and you can see the rack and all the modules on the rack in RSLinx Classic. ◆ Set IP address for Ethernet module in RSLinx Classic, changed to static.
