Removable terminal block housings compatible with this module are the 1756-TBCH and the 1756-TBS6H. The input voltage and voltage category of this module are both 120 Volts AC. The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16I is a Sixteen (16) Channel Discrete AC input module that features individually isolated channels. This module operates at a nominal input voltage of 120VAC with frequency of 50/60 Hz. This module is mounted to a local or remote I/O ControlLogix chassis. Local ControlLogix chassis refers to an assembly where the ControlLogix processor is installed while remote I/O chassis refers a ControlLogix chassis that communicates to the local chassis through a communication adapter.Discrete input modules are used by Programable Logic Controller (PLC) such as the ControlLogix system to interface to the process or machine and receive each individual input’s binary state that is OFF and ON. This is necessary as Allen-Bradley controllers begin logic execution by examining the status of inputs including the signals wired to the 1767-IA16I. This module is compatible with any ControlLogix processor. It is also compatible with any ControlLogix communication adapter for implementing Remote I/O application. This module uses a 36-point Removable Terminal Block (RTB) for wiring signals and allow modular replacement of a defective module without the need of full rewiring. As the channels of this module are individually isolated, each channel has individual common which allows the module to be used in application where direct AC commons are existing. This module has front panel indicators that provide status of each channel. Whenever a channel is supplied with an appropriate signal, the dedicated LED indicator will be activated to confirm that the signal is received by the module.
