The Allen-Bradley 1785-LT2 is a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) that supports a maximum user memory words of this module are 13K expandable to 17K or 21K. The 1785-LT2 is intended for operation in the pollution level industry environment 2, in category II applications (as defined in the publication of IEC 60664-1). This module can operate at an altitude of up to 2000 meters without derating. When terminating signal wires to the module, connect or disconnect the cable and the terminal block. Additionally, the 1785-LT2 does not support removal and insertion under power. Make sure the power is switched off and that the area is not hazardous before disconnecting the module. The 1785-LT2’s operating temperature is 0-60 deg. Celsius (32-140 deg. Fahrenheit). The storage temperature is -40-85 deg. Celsius (-40-185 deg. Fahrenheit). The relative humidity of this module is from 5-95% without condensation. The Allen-Bradley 1785-LT2 has an operating shock of 30 g (3 pulses, 11 ms). The nonoperating shock is 50 g (3 pulses, 11 ms). Appropriate installation of the 1785-LT2 must be separated from other equipment and crop walls to allow convection cooling. Convection cooling pulls the air in a vertical column to the top of the processor, cooling it down. This cooling air shall not exceed 60 deg. Celsius (140 deg. Fahrenheit) at any point immediately below the processor. If the air temperature exceeds 60 deg. Celsius, install the fan carrying filtered air or recirculate the internal air inside the enclosure, or install the air/heat exchanger unit.

This controller features 13KWords maximum user memory which may be expanded up to 17K or 21K Words. It is capable of controlling up to 1024 of any combination of I/O type or 1024 input, 1024 output and 1024 analog input and output channels. Optional EEPROM module that may be used with the 1785-LT2 are 1785-MJ with 8 KWords memory and 1785-MK with 16K Words memory. The 1785-LT2 has a program scan time of 2 ms for discrete logic with typical scan time of 8 ms. The I/O scan time / rack in a single and ext-local or remote chassis is 10 ms at 57.6 Kbps (remote). This processor has embedded communication ports such as Data Highway Plus (DH+) and Remote I/O (RIO). This processor has an embedded One (1) Data Highway Plus and One (1) Remote I/O (RIO) communication port, supporting RIO transmission rates of 57.6 Kbps. This processor supports up to a maximum number of Eight (8) I/O racks, total I/O chassis of Seventeen (17) and Sixteen (16) remote I/O chassis.

The 1785-LT2 supports controller redundancy with the use of the 1785-BCM Backup Communication Module. Additionally, this controller may be used with a wide variety of power supplies such as 1771-P3, 1771-P4, 1771-P4S, 1771-P4S1, 1771-P4R, 1771-P5, 1771-P6S, 1771-P6S1, 1771-P6R, 1771-P7 and 1771-PS7. It is compatible of executing user programs developed using ladder and Sequential Function Chart (SFC) programming language.
