The 2711-K5A2 is an Allen-Bradley PanelView Standard operator terminal that features an integrated keypad input interface, display area, communication port and internal memory. This electronic device has a compact assembly that support flush mounting to an industrial rated enclosure.
The 2711-K5A2’s keypad input interface is composed of Ten (10) function keys that accepts local and global assignments, making any button usable for a specific function or accept variable assignment. Aside from the function keys, the keypad assembly also has a numeric key set for entering numerical variables and constants; Navigation keys to highlight appropriate objects displayed in the screen.
This operator terminal also has a 5.5-inch monochrome screen with display area of 120 x 60 mm (4.75 x 2.38 in.) and resolution of 256 x 128 pixels. It comes with a replaceable internal backlight that is designed to operate up to 100,000 hrs.
This shortens and maximizes engineering time as internal tests may also be done without the need of the physical hardware.
The 2711-K5A2 has an internal Random Access Memory (RAM) amounting to 170KB and a non-volatile memory with size of 240KB which is used to save applications and system files such as trends, logs and user manuals. The 2711-K5A2 is installed to a NEMA or IP rated enclosure that offers adequate protection against water ingress, dust, dirt, corrosive and explosive substances. Install the 2711-K5A2 in a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54 and IP65 or any equivalent rated enclosures. The 2711-K5A2 is an Allen-Bradley PanelView 550 terminal.
