The Allen-Bradley 2711-M3A18L1 is an PanelView Micro 300 Operator Terminal. This is an electronic hardware that is powered by an external 18-32VDC power supply with nominal supply of 24VDC. This operator terminal is primarily used to provide real-time monitoring and interface to the machine or process.
The 2711-M3A18L1 features a monochrome display 3-inch screen with a resolution of 128 x 64 pixels and display area of 73 x 42 mm (2.87 x 1.67 in.). It comes with an internal backlight that is expected to operate up to 100,000 hr.
The 2711-M3A18L1 is also installed with a group of buttons that compose the keypad assembly. These buttons include the Function keys (F1 to F4), numeric keys and navigation keys. It has an internal real-time clock that is battery backed and used to timestamps critical process data.
Due to the small screen size, this HMI is ideal for installation in small machines or simple processes. Textual or simple graphical process mimic may be displayed in this HMI. It comes with a built-in 8-pin mini-DIN RS232 interface that is compatible with DF1. It has an internal memory amounting to 170 KB allotted for application runtime and 240KB used as the terminal's non-volatile memory.
