The V7865 Is GE Intelligent Platforms’ flagshipIntel Core 2 Duo VMEbus single boardcomputer, offering processor and I/O flexibilityto meet many different application needs. TheV7865 is available in commercial up to ruggedextended temperature models, making it idealfor applications including advanced defense,aerospace, and homeland security. Based on the Intel Core Duo/Core 2 Duoprocessors, this board offers processor speedsat 1.66 GHz, 2.0 GHz, or 2.16 GHz and featuresup to 4 Mbytes of L2 cache with AdvancedTransfer Cache Architecture, while deliveringoptimized, power-efficient computing with lowpower consumption. Memory options includeup to 3 Gbytes DDR2 SDRAM (1 Gbyte onboard), and up to 4 Gbytes CompactFlash. The V7865 meets the ANSI/VITA 1.5-2003 standard, based on the Tundra Tsi148. The VMEbus canrun at a bandwidth of up to 320 MB/s along thefull length of a 21-slot backplane. Performance isincreased in the following ways: • 8x faster than the 40 Mbyte/s transfer rate ofVME64 • Tsi148 VME-to-PCI/X bridge provides a 4xincrease in useable bus bandwidth overexisting solutions • Broadcast Mode support for sending data tomultiple cards at one time The V7865 features multiple I/O options, includingtwo Gigabit Ethernet ports, two RS232/422 ports,four USB 2.0 ports, and one serial ATA interface.
