The input voltage range is 18 to 30V DC, and the input current is 6 mA at 24V. The inputs are divided into two separate isolation groups, each with eight channels and a voltage monitoring input. Each input channel consists of a current limiting element, an EMC protection element, an input status indicator LED, and an optical barrier. If the voltage disappears, the process voltage monitoring input will send a channel error signal. The error signal can be read through the module bus. For local nodes, the reflected memory board appears as shared memory. Any level of software, including the application itself, can write data to or read from memory. Data written to the reflective memory of one node is transmitted by the network hardware to all other nodes and placed at the same address on the reflective memory boards of those nodes. This data transfer can be done without the involvement of processors on any node. With this system, all nodes on the network have a local copy of the shared data that can be accessed immediately.
