LPU boards are divided into S series, E series, F series, B series boards and X series, among which:

The S series Lpus contain SA and SC interface boards. For example, 24-port 100 Mbit/S/Gbit/s Ethernet optical interface board (SA, SFP).

E series Lpus include EA, EC, EA1, EC1, ED, and EE interface boards. For example, 48-port 100 Mbit/s Ethernet optical interface board (EA, SFP).

The X series LPU includes X1E, X2E, X2S, X2H, X5E, X5H, X5L, X5S, X6E, X6S, and AK (X5EK and X6EK) interface boards. For example, 48-port 10 Mbit/s, 100 Mbit/S Ethernet electrical interface board (X1E, RJ45).

Detailed process is described as follows:

1. The PCC and PCE send Open messages to each other to establish PCEP sessions and negotiate the supported capabilities. Sr-mpls TE Policy Uses the SR PCE Capability sub-TLV to negotiate the SR-MPLS capability.

2. The PCE sends the PCInitiate message to the PCC header node to create an SR-MPLS TE Policy.

    a. PCE assigns a Symbolic Path Name as the Candidate Path identifier of the SR-MPLS TE Policy in the PCEP.

    b. If the PLSP-ID in the LSP is set to 0, it indicates that the PLSP-ID does not exist. The PCC needs to assign a plsp-ID.

    c. Attributes such as the SR-MPLS TE Policy identifier, candidate path identifier, and candidate path priority are carried by the Association object. All Candidate paths under an SR-MPLS TE Policy belong to the same SR Policy Association Group.

    d. Path information is carried in Explicit Route Object (ERO). SR-MPLS TE Policy uses SR-ERO subobjects to carry path information.

3. After receiving the path information sent by the PCE, the PCC head node installs the path. Apply for a PLSP-ID as the Candidate Path ID.

4. After the PCC header node is installed, send a PCRpt message to the PCE to report the SR-MPLS TE Policy status. In the PCRpt message, the management flag of the LSP object is set to 1, indicating that the control of SR-MPLS TE Policy is managed to the PCE. The Create flag in the LSP object is set to 1, indicating that the PCC creates an SR-MPLS TE Policy triggered by the PCE. PLSP-ID is set to the unique value of the PCC local application. Reported Route Object (SR-RRO) child objects carry actual path information about the SR-MPLS TE Policy.

5. The PCC has entrusted the control to the PCE. Changes in network information such as topology may cause the PCE to recalculate paths.

6. The PCE sends the recalculated path information to the PCC through the PCUpd message. The PLSP-ID reported by the PCC is used as the ID.

7. The PCC header node updates the path after receiving the PCUpd message from the PCE.

8. After the PCC header node is installed, send a PCRpt message to the PCE to report the SR-MPLS TE Policy status.
