General installation method:
Preparation work:
Confirm that the installation environment meets the requirements, including conditions such as temperature, humidity, and electromagnetic interference. Ensure that there is enough space at the installation location for easy operation and maintenance.
Prepare the tools required for installation, such as a screwdriver.
Check whether the appearance of the RPS6U module is damaged and whether the accessories are complete.
Installation into the rack:
The RPS6U is usually installed on a 19-inch rack (such as the ABE04X rack) of the VM600 system. Align the rack power supply module with the corresponding installation position on the rack, generally at a specific slot at the rear or side of the rack.
Use tools such as a screwdriver to fix the RPS6U module to the rack through the installation holes on the rack, ensuring a firm installation to prevent loosening during operation.
Electrical connection:
External power supply connection: Connect the external AC power supply (usually 220V or the voltage required according to the module) to the power input terminals of the RPS6U module. When connecting, pay attention to the correct phase sequence and polarity of the power supply to ensure a firm connection and avoid loosening or short circuits.
Backplane connection: The RPS6U module is connected to the VM600 frame backplane (ABE 04X) through two large-current DIN 41612 H15-type connectors, and shares the power supply voltage and signals through the backplane. Align the connector with the corresponding interface on the backplane, insert it gently, and ensure that the connection is in place. Appropriate force may be required to ensure good electrical contact.

Indicator light inspection:
After the installation is completed and the power is turned on, check the status indicator lights on the RPS6U module.
