The MOOG G123 - 825 - 001 is a buffer amplifier, mainly used in the field of industrial automation and playing an important role in signal transmission and processing. Function and Purpose: It is used to connect the output of a standard signal source (such as a PLC or a servo amplifier) to a Moog servo/proportional valve, solving the compatibility problem between the signal and the requirements of the valve. It can receive three types of signal inputs and output signals for most Moog servo/proportional valves. It can convert the output of the existing servo amplifier into an Electronic Feedback (EFB) compatible signal, enabling the replacement of the old Mechanical Feedback (MFB) valve with a modern EFB valve without changing the servo amplifier.

Signal Processing: It has an input filtering function. There is a single-pole active filter that can remove the noise in the input signal. The filter time constant can be selected by a switch, and there are multiple time constants available for selection. The output signal is also switch-selectable, including a fixed 4 - 20mA (suitable for EFB valves), a fixed 0 - ±10V (suitable for EFB valves), and a switch-selectable 0 - ±5 - ±100mA (suitable for MFB valves, and also suitable for EFB valves when set to ±10mA). The output current selector switch allows multiple selections, and the selected values are added together. Electrical Characteristics: The signal inputs include 4 - 20mA, 0 - ±100mA, and 0 - ±10V. The current signal input terminals are 4 - 8, with a resistance of 50Ω; the voltage signal input terminal is 3, with a resistance of 100kΩ or 1kΩ (when the low input resistance is selected). The valve drive outputs are 0 - ±10V (minimum load 1kΩ) and 4 - 20mA (maximum load 500Ω). Physical Characteristics: This buffer amplifier is installed in a compact DIN rail housing and requires a 24VDC power supply. The front panel is equipped with test points and a valve drive LED, which is convenient for debugging and troubleshooting. In addition, the IN123 - 825 - 001 Moog amplifier board, which is improved and upgraded based on the G123 - 825 - 001, has characteristics such as high reliability and high precision. In the design, the influence of electromagnetic interference is taken into account. Through a special shielding design, the influence of interference signals is effectively reduced.
